Even though I use extra chunky garden vegetable or pepper and mushroom style Ragu sauce from the jar, I like to add extra vegetables to my sauce by sauteing peppers, onions and garlic in olive oil in the same pan I browned the meat.
I cook the vegetables while the meat is draining and when they are tender, I add the jar of sauce and then the meat.
Sprinkle in a little sugar for ph balance, heat through and serve.
Top sauce covered noodles with parmesan and enjoy.
This is a good way to include more vegetables in my family's diet.
